Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of characters who will split off from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
First, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—used the enemy for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each character has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could assist the team access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:
- The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The healer turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
Future Episodes
Based on the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Questers and Schemers groups.
Viewers can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
